Norimaki dinner

I made norimaki with tuna salad. The combination of mayonnaise and sushi rice is surprisingly successful.

Indian curry

I found Nan at Kings. I made Indian curry and had it with them. The Nan was not bad but a little sweet for my taste.

All American diner breakfast

Paid homage to our favorite diner with good friends....This plate is called "All American" which has eggs(cooked anyway you like), French toasts, pancakes, sausages, bacon, and hams....in other words, everything!

Three beans salad

Three beans (Red kidney beans, chick peas, and black beans) salad and home made courtons. We were being very good in order to be bad at breakfast tomorrow morning!

Stuffed green bell peppers

Our friends brought us lots of home grown veggies when we visited us for the BBQ the other day. I would love grilled green bell peppers but this time I tried some other way to cook them, stuffed peppers with meat loaf. The side dish is potato gratin.

Pot-au-feu with sausages

We had extra uncooked sausages left from the BBQ last week. The weather is becoming more autumn like and good for a dish like Pot-au-feu.

Desserts for BBQ dinner

My husband and I invited friends over BBQ dinner. As usual I forgot to take pictures of the meal itself but managed to take ones for desserts. Brownies are not home made but the flan a l'orange (orange flan tart) is. The "pate a foncer" (the crust) was a bit burned but the flavor was not bad at all.

Korean BBQ Beef Wrap

Another left-over creation. I had a bottle of Korean BBQ sauce and tortilla wrap left over from different meals. The sauce was a bit sweet but had a very good flavor.

Chocolate Caramel Tart

My husband and I were invited for a labor day BBQ dinner. I brought a homemade tart to the party. I made this tart for my friend's baby shower before and everyone seemed to enjoyed it .It is very easy to make.

Scandinavian Festival

My husband and I went to a fair called Scandinavian festival reminiscing about the good time we had in Denmark. These are called Viking potato flowers....they were very think and very crispy.
Funnel cake.....my favorite at any fun fair! but not particularly Scandinavian....

Rather German than Nordic.....

We found the festival a little bit disappointing since there were not too much going on in terms of attractions and the food was not very authentic.
