Pre performance brunch in NYC

My husband and I went to Lincoln center to see Kabuki. Before the matinee performance we had a nice brunch at Josephina. We both ordered Crab Cake Egg Benedict and it was delicious. I think it was the best I ever had. We were very lucky on this day since the traffic both ways were less and smooth, the brunch was delicious and the Kabuki performance was most enjoyable.

Kyotofu in Hell's kitchen

I went to a tofu restaurant called Kyotofu in Hell's kitchen with my friend. I read some good reviews in different sources but it was not as good as expected. It was not bad but it was never a "Wow" experience. The picture is a dessert plate.

Diner food

My husband and I had been looking for a good diner for a while but finally found a very good old American diner. It is nearby the house of our good friends' and therefore, we went there with them to enjoy a classic American breakfast. I had Belgium waffle with scramble egg and sausages. It was delicious although the egg was a little bit dry.

BBQ Steak

Steak was BBQed with wood chips. It gave the meat very nice smokey taste and it was delicious with soy sauce and butter.

Teriyaki yellow tail

Bought fillets of Buri (yellow tail) at the Japanese supermarket. This fish is typically cooked as teriyaki at Japanese supper table.

Sushi dinner

Went to the office today and as a usual route stopped by the Japanese supermarket Mitsuwa to get some sushi.

Fried chicken

I deep fried drum sticks for dinner. French fries were oven-fried.

BBQ - Babyback Ribs

Nice and smokey.Babyback ribs were served with French fries, salad and corn bread.

Light supper with leftovers

Chicken salad was made with leftover grilled whole chicken and seasoned with mayo and tarragon. Bean and broccoli soup was also leftover from yesterday.
