Sea Bream Sashimi with Asian sauce
In Japanese cooking, sea bream is considered as "King of fish" because of its vast range of cooking method. The fish always has been associated with happy occasions and celebrations in Japanese culture. One of seven Japanese deities has the fish in his hand and he brings good fortune and wealth to people. This dish has slices of sea bream sashimi, red peppers, fried wantons, Japanese green onions and cilantro. Mix them together with soy sauce with vinegar and sesame oil.

Ramen Noodle
Ramen noodle is one of Japanese all time favorites. There are many very good noodle houses throughout Japan and some of them are so famous that people make a long line trying to get in.
When you eat it at home, toppings can be your choice. Today I put slices of Kamaboko (fish cake), seaweed, bean sprouts, scallions, and quail eggs.

Japanese Sweet - Sakura Mochi
This is a seasonal Japanese sweet. It is wrapped with a cherry blossom leave which has a very distinctive aroma. It is the height of the cherry blossom (Sakura) season in Tokyo around this time of the year. People enjoy picnics under beautiful blooming cherry trees (called "Ohanami") bringing lots of goodies to eat and sake to drink.
